Me and Richard, had to come up with the idea for our Tv drama. So we made a mind map of ideas, we came up with about 10. Idea's like boy kidnapped in a woods, school disaster and something to do with drugs. But none of those ideas were that good so.... we came up with the idea of a first and third person drama, of a boy who goes to college that can have these flashbacks. We developed that idea and came up with the idea that a boy has these flashes of what is about to happen to him. At the time he will be ill and that will be a factor of why he can here sounds. With this idea we developed the idea into him having a car crash at the end to leave it on a cliff hanger, so that means viewers will want to watch the rest of the show.
We split the task evenly with Richard doing the script and the storyboard while i do all the other tasks, and when it came to filming we would share the load. Week one with our mind map done we got on with the tasks, i got the risk assessment done and was looking for actors for the drama. We decide we would need 4 actors, for the 4 main characters and we would need 2 extras. By the time all of the work was ready and i was ready to film, Richard was not and at the time i did not help i just sat back and waited for him to get it done which did not help the group in the long run.
When we finally got to filming, i shot the first seen by my self with the 3 actors. Jacob Howard, Josh Legg and Liam White were the actors for that day and we got the scene shot in about half an hour. I felt it went okay, i think there is a good variety of shots between each line of the actor. Second scene was just me and Jacob and was filmed just after filming scene 1, it was Jacob walking up to the science block in college. Then it goes to first person view and we do him fainting and it fades out. Scene 3 was filmed on another day and Richard was there but was there as an actor, with Jacob and Jack Hopkins. It took about 20 minutes to film this scene and i felt this went quite well. With it not taking long to film that means the actor were serious to film and the shots were very good for what was happening. The last scene was just me and Lilly who was driving down the road with me in the back, i felt this was okay although i didn't want them to realise it was not jacob so it was quite hard to show that it was him. With all the filming done i put all the footage onto final cut and started editing it down. Richard did the intro on after effects and gave to me while i finished off all the editing. I found the song outro as our song for the beginning of the show. With most of the editing done and was checking how it was, were that the goods was as i did all the filming and about 90 percent of the editing in felt i put effort in and that it didn't turn out to bad. Also i'm not the best on final cut so editing down was quite hard but manages to do okay on that. The bad were that it took a while to get it all done, also that it felt like i was the only one in the group. It does not look very professional, but for what we had and the time we had it went okay.
